Emerald Crest

Emerald Crest

Lennar Homes, which has been around since 1954, still strives to be on the cutting edge. Their latest neighborhood, Emerald Crest in Centennials Hills, is no exception.

The feature that intrigued me most about this neighborhood was the opal floorplan, which features a RV garage. If you have ever owned an RV, you know what a hassle it is to store it off-site. The inconvenience, the cost. The monthly trips out to storage to start it up so that the carburetor doesn't freeze (we learned the hard way). Loading up for a trip without taking up parking on your street, and annoying that one grumpy neighbor. I could go on and on...

The Opal gives you plenty of space to store your RV, even that Class 'A'. And you still have room to park two other cars (okay, not dually's....).

Another feature that caught my eye was the "NextGen" floorplan, the Topaz. Lennar created these "home within a home" plans to fill a growing need. A lot of us have parents that are still very active, and nowhere near the assisted living stage of life (and hopefully never will be). This floorplan has a separate enter through the garage into a private living area complete with a kitchen and bedroom.

This floor plan would also work well for a college-aged child who needs their independence, or long term guests that come back from the casino at the wee hours of the morning.

The Emerald floor plan it set up with the Master bedroom and retreat on one side of the house, and the kids area on the other (complete with its own 13x13 den). The layout from the garage is one I found interesting... the garage foyer opens to the powder room and coat closet. a quick turn takes you into the large laundry room, then into the main Master Walk-in Closet. A few steps further you enter the Master Bath, and finally to the Master Bedroom.

For those of you that hit the gym, or mountain bike, or any other aerobic activity, I'm sure you can see the advantages to this layout.

Other thoughts about the community:

  • Tall ceilings No, not those hard to climate control cathedral types, the 10-foot-high ones that keep you from feeling claustrophobic.
  • Some floor plans with Kitchen Pantries that have direct access from the garage.
  • Pull-out storage in the kitchens

These homes are 3-6 bedrooms, with square footage starting at 2,628 to 4,613. Pricing starts in the mid $550's (as of 9/21/18).

I would be proud to show you these homes and to be your buyer representitive. If you want to understand why you need a buyer representative, read more here.

Yes, that's a garage big enough for an RV! Twenty feet wide and 42 feet deep. And plenty of headroom to boot. My husband would never come out!

This NexGen home has a separate entrance from the garage to a private living bedroom and living room (with a full kitchen!)The Emerald floooplan is perfect for a family that wants the grown-ups on one side of the house, and the kids on the other.
